  • Please note that all places in the 2021 edition of our Summer School have been filled up and that we are therefore no longer accepting any new applications. If you cannot wait for the summer of 2022 to enrol in a similar programme, check out our Winter School on EU Policy Making (February 2022) focusing on the theme of digital rights.
  • Please note that applications will be reviewed as of October - you may of course already apply before that date.
  • Early bird deadline: 15 November.
    Applicants who submit their application by 15 November at the latest and are subsequently admitted to the programme, are eligible for a 10% discount on the tuition fee.
  • Tuition fee waiver deadline: 15 November (see information below) 
  • Application deadline: 10 January.

Summer School - Application deadlines

  • Please note that applications will be reviewed as of January - you may of course already apply before that date.
  • Early bird deadline: 15 March.
    Applicants who submit their application by 15 March at the latest and are subsequently admitted to the programme, are eligible for a 10% discount on the tuition fee.
  • Tuition fee waiver deadline: 15 March and 15 April (see information below).
  • Application deadline: 1 May.

Winter School - Tuition fee

The tuition fee for the Winter School in 2021 is 1,400 EUR.


Summer School - Tuition fee

The tuition fee for the Summer School in 2021 which will be held in an online format is 1,400 EUR.


Winter School - Tuition fee waiver

We will grant one full tuition fee waiver to one student of the Winter School programme. This waiver will be attributed on the basis of merit and motivation, and will in general, but not exclusively, be granted to a student from a partner country neighbouring the EU. If you think you may be eligible for the waiver, you will need to provide the following supporting documents as part of your application to the programme:

  • a motivation letter
  • a transcript of your academic records.

The deadline for applying for the tuition fee waiver is 15 November (same as the early bird deadline).


Summer School - Tuition fee waiver

In 2021, with the support of the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission, the Flemish Ministry of Education and Training and the Flemish Higher Education Council (VLUHR), we are able to grant  grant a full tuition fee waiver to three students of the Summer School programme.

The tuition fee waivers will be attributed on the basis of merit and motivation. The first waiver will in general, but not exclusively, be granted to a student from a partner country neighbouring the EU. The second and third waivers will be granted to students who can demonstrate a financial need.

If you think you may be eligible for the waiver, you will need to provide the following supporting documents as part of your application to the programme:

    • A motivation letter
    • A transcript of your academic records.

The deadline for applying for the first tuition fee waiver was 15 March***Please note that this deadline has already passed and the waiver been granted. ***

The deadline for applying for the second and third tuition fee waivers was 15 April.

Students who applied prior to the first tuition fee waiver deadline will also be considered for the second and third waivers.



Cancellation Policy (for both Winter and Summer School)

More than 45 days before arrival: no cancellation charges
Between 45 and 30 days before arrival: 50% cancellation charges
Between 30 and 15 days before arrival: 75% cancellation charges
Less than 15 days before arrival: 100% cancellation charges
